Richard M.N. Robinson (President and Co-founder)
has a marketing, sales and public relations background that spans over 25 years. Currently as a resident in Japan, beyond Target Marketing Japan, Mr. Robinson is also an educator at Shinshu University, one of the countries most famous universities, and is the owner of one of the fastest growing English Conversations schools in the Nagano/Matsumoto area. Before venturing to Asia, he served in a variety of management positions with some of America largest corporations. In the years following his graduation from California State University Fullerton, he worked for such companies and organizations such as GTE, Arcadis Geraghty & Miller, Langan Engineering and Proctor & Gamble. For almost 10 years of his life, he worked in the environmental engineering arena doing business development. Years later after leaving environmental engineering on both the West and East Coast of America, Mr. Robinson found himself as an instant authority in the area of internet marketing by landing a very nice consulting contract with UCLA. His mission was to introduce the university’s first “paid for” upgraded ISP via a sophisticated and delicate marketing plan. From this point, at the height of the dot com bubble, he served as a consultant to one of the first online yellow pages, Yellowonline.com whereby he developed the preliminary marketing plan for them and other proposed start-up internet companies at the time. Beyond those experiences, he has worked in the political arena serving as a campaign consultant in Los Angeles City politics, and has also worked with non profit organizations such as the Salvation Army and American Heart Association. Through these experiences and others in both the corporate and non-profit sectors, like a fine bottle of wine, he has become a true dynamic person in the areas of marketing/public relations/sales and education; getting better, and better, with time.
